Ignite Conversations

In keeping with Ignite Excellence’s commitment to the consulting engineering industry, Ignite Excellence donated two days of training to Engineers Without Borders (EWB), on June 19th & 20th, 2008. Current and future leaders of the not-for-profit organization were put through their paces in Ignite Excellence’s Presentation Excellence Program. During the program, participants learned how to prepare and deliver a presentation that engages an audience and moves them to action.

Stakeholder engagement is a key determinant in building relationships and promoting the EWB mission. Participants are frequently tasked with speaking engagements to reach and influence a wide range of individuals, be they school children, university students, or fellow professionals. Achieving this requires them to bring flexibility, control, and energy to every presentation.

Engineers Without Borders is a not-for-profit organization that helps people in developing communities gain access to technologies that will improve their lives. Having the skills to deliver their message influentially will continue to add to their fund raising ability and social support.
