Suzanne F. Stevens, President & Founder of Ignite Excellence, went back to Nairobi, Kenya to work at the Africa International University (AIU), a university specializing in developing the leaders of tomorrow. Ignite Excellence donates programs to help PhD and Masters' students, the top performers to communicate their message with impact. Suzanne also ran a women leadership forum discussing women in Africa, their role and what impact they could have at the grass root level. During her stay, she attended the AIU graduation ceremony during which 60 graduates received their degrees, including the largest group of women to complete their studies from this university. Over 2000 guests were in attendance. She also had the opportunity to work with one of the two women to whom the Ignite Excellence Foundation provided a scholarship. Suzanne commented "The only difference between the students in North America and Africa is the topic - here we are trying to win business for the benefit of our companies and our careers; in Africa they are trying to influence individuals to save their communities and their countries." |
