Communication Excellence in Project Management - Project Management Professional Training PDF Print E-mail

Communicating influentially to colleagues and clients to ensure a cohesive approach to project execution while promoting the most suitable approach being implemented based on client objectives and expectations.

Beyond the subject matter expertise and scheduling skills that clients expect from Project Managers, the key proficiency in enabling successful project execution is one of effective communication skills. The ability to engage and influence the myriad of individuals involved in an entire project is key in completing the project on time and on budget. Successful navigation within and between the stages of Project Management will require that a Project Manager be able to listen, motivate, communicate, create contingency plans, manage problems, find mutually beneficial solutions, and influence the teams around them.

This program focuses on the fundamentals of communication to achieve realistic expectations while promoting the best outcome. Communication Excellence in Project Management also takes into consideration the politics that often exist when dealing with different stakeholders. Participants learn to gain respect, confidence and trust from their colleagues and clients so their recommendations are taken seriously. The ability to communicate knowledge and insight clearly to colleagues helps to provide the best outcome of a project.
